My cousin asked me to alter her David's Bridal formal gown and make it something she could wear to an upcoming wedding.
The first picture is the original dress (which is still available for sale at davidsbridal.com) and the next two are what I did to it...
I cut off the "cascade" and used it to add godets to the new shortened length and made a tie belt.
hope she likes it!!!
Definitely Beautiful material. Love what you did to the back. I'm kinda in shock that you cut up that beautiful dress but the result of it is great so who cares? Cute ^_^ Great job!

It's fabulous! (it looks better than the gown...) I love the bow, and a little clutch would really make it work! Put her in some pointed toe heels, and she's all set!!! It's wonderful work as always!!!

Thanks!!! She wanted something short and the dress is very formal so unless she was going to a black tie event or something it probably would've wasted away in her closet. This way she'll get more mileage out of it!
Everyone should recycle their old prom/formal/bridesmaid dresses into something they can use!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
